Meet the man behind EJ KNOWS
EJ is a content creator, traveler, registered electronics engineer, and a storyteller documenting the places, flavors, and experiences worth discovering.
There’s always more to discover
For EJ Fabro, travel has never been simply about ticking destinations off a map. It is about discovering the stories, flavors, people, culture, and experiences that make a place worth remembering.

The Early Years
Long before Earvin John (EJ) became known for traveling across the Philippines and beyond, he was already a curious and distinctly individual character. As a child, he loved Bananas in Pajamas and had a very particular comfort food combination: egg malasado mixed with ketchup and rice. Small details like these are part of what makes EJ memorable to the people who have known him long before EJ KNOWS.
His discipline and love for music also began early. Before he ever picked up a saxophone, EJ played the drums in a marching band, discovering music through rhythm, practice, and performance. That early dedication would eventually grow into a lasting involvement in music, with the saxophone becoming one of his defining creative pursuits.
The same determination showed up in his academics. EJ graduated as salutatorian in elementary school and later became valedictorian in high school, accomplishments that reflected the discipline and drive that would continue to shape different chapters of his life.
As he grew older, EJ’s interests expanded across engineering, music, business, organizations, content creation, and travel. He studied at Adamson University and became a Registered Electronics Engineer and Registered Electronics Technician, while pursuing a career that would take him through a variety of professional and entrepreneurial endeavors.
But one of the biggest chapters of EJ’s story began in 2018, when casual hikes with friends sparked a much bigger ambition: to see his own country before looking beyond its shores.
What started as weekend adventures eventually became a nearly three-year journey across all 82 provinces of the Philippines.
His first destination was his home province of Bulacan. From there, he worked his way through Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, carefully planning routes, looking for practical ways to make each trip happen, and navigating the many challenges that come with traveling extensively around the country. Dinagat Islands eventually became the final stop that completed his personal mission.
Completing all 82 provinces was no small feat. EJ balanced his travels with his professional life and other pursuits, while documenting the places and experiences he encountered along the way. The journey came with delayed and cancelled trips, difficult logistics, unexpected detours, and even an accident on the way to the airport. Through it all, he kept going.
More importantly, the journey changed the way EJ saw his own country.

Traveling province after province gave EJ a deeper appreciation for the Philippines’ landscapes, food, culture, traditions, communities, and stories. But his journey as a content creator started long before he set out to explore all 82 provinces.
His first taste of lifestyle content creation came from the Manila scene, where he explored restaurants, lifestyle spots, and experiences in the capital. That experience gave him a glimpse of what it meant to turn everyday discoveries into stories worth sharing.
Eventually, EJ brought that same curiosity closer to home. He began crawling food spots in his hometown of Santa Maria, Bulacan, documenting the places he enjoyed and sharing his finds with others.

He then explored more of Bulacan then ventured into other provinces, slowly turning local food crawls and weekend trips into a much bigger passion for discovering the Philippines.
That progression shaped the way EJ approaches travel and content creation today. He learned that remarkable experiences do not always have to be found in famous destinations. Sometimes they are tucked away in an unassuming restaurant, a small local business, a quiet community, or a place that rarely makes it onto the usual tourist map.
More importantly, it showed him that exploring one’s own country can be just as rewarding as traveling abroad.
That philosophy is at the heart of EJ KNOWS.
The Journey Continues
Today, EJ KNOWS has grown beyond Philippine destinations. After completing his journey across all 82 provinces, EJ has embarked on a new chapter of exploration across Southeast Asia, bringing the same curiosity that first took him around the Philippines to a wider part of the region.
His travels now take him across borders as he discovers new countries, cultures, cuisines, traditions, and ways of life. Rather than simply collecting passport stamps, EJ approaches each destination with the same question that has always driven his work: what is there to know, experience, and share?
The journey is a natural extension of what he started in the Philippines. The map has simply gotten bigger.
Beyond his own travels, EJ has also played an important role in bringing people together within Bulacan’s creative community. He is known as one of the driving forces behind the active Bulacan Bloggers community, helping keep its members connected, engaged, and energized while contributing to efforts to showcase Bulacan’s destinations, businesses, culture, heritage, and local stories.
For EJ, community is as much a part of the journey as travel itself. His work has consistently brought together his different interests: exploring places, discovering food, creating content, connecting people, and sharing experiences.

And despite all the accomplishments, adventures, organizations, and jobs that have filled his years, the person behind EJ KNOWS remains recognizably the same EJ: curious, driven, musical, occasionally quirky, and always looking for the next thing worth knowing.

He has already seen all 82 provinces of the Philippines. Now, the journey continues across Southeast Asia.
And through EJ KNOWS, he continues to share what he discovers along the way, one destination, one story, and one experience at a time.
